The award recognizes exemplary work in all aspects of school public relations, communication, marketing, and engagement.

NSPRA is recognized as the leader in school communication and has honored the best work in school communication for more than 50 years. Each year, hundreds of educators and public relations professionals enter their work for a chance to earn recognition for their districts and schools. The contest includes three awards: Gold Medallion Award, the top award honoring superior school public relations/communications programs, projects and campaigns; Golden Achievement Award, for exemplary public relations activities, programs, projects and campaigns; and Publications and Digital Media Awards, for outstanding work in all types and forms of education communication and marketing, including print, electronic, video, audio, websites, social media and more.

The Golden Achievement Award was earned for the English for All program submitted by Christine LIberaski, Director of School & Community Engagement. English for All provides a low-cost adult English Language Learners (ELL) course through the NPSD Community Education Program. The program not only helps ELLs, but also helps them learn specific information related to the North Penn School District and resources that can help them and their families.

NPSD also received several other awards from NSPRA. The Award of Excellence was given to the 2021-2022 Activities Calendar, created by Erika Shaedle, Advertising & Marketing Specialist. The 2020-2021 NPSD Annual Report and 2020-2021 Foundation Annual Report received Honorable Mentions, both created by Erika Shaedle.
“Maintaining communication with our community is the top priority here at North Penn,” said Christine Liberaski, Director of School and Community Engagement. “These awards highlight the amazing work being done in this district every day, and we are proud to be a part of that.”
